Technical Description:

A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way that the Microsoft Windows' DNS client parses specially crafted LLMNR (Link-local Multicast Name Resolution) responses.  LLMNR allows hosts to resolve machine names without the need for a DNS server by broadcasting name requests to the local subnet.  Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would likely require compromising a machine on the local subnet as most firewalls are configured to block broadcast packets at the network perimeter.

Remediation: Patch available.  See References for details.
